I’m looking forward to
To look forward to something is to wait or hope for it, especially with pleasure. Note that this structure is followed by an –ing form or a noun.
Here are some examples:
- I’m looking forward to your next visit.
- I’m looking forward to hearing from you. OR I look forward to hearing from you.
- I’m looking forward to meeting you. OR I look forward to meeting you.
- I’m looking forward to starting my own business.
- I’m looking forward to visiting Japan.
- I’m looking forward to becoming a grandmother.
- I’m looking forward to going on vacation.
- I’m looking forward to visiting my brother in Italy.
I’ll help you + (verb)
Use this structure if you are willing to provide assistance.
- I’ll help you with the housework.
- I’ll help you with the cleaning.
- I’ll help you with the shopping.
- I’ll help you with the packing.
I’ll help you + verb
After I’ll help you, you can use an infinitive with or without to.
- I’ll help you find your keys. (OR I will help you to find your keys.)
- I’ll help you find a better job.
- I’ll help you cook dinner.
- I’ll help you quit smoking.
In questions you can ask:
- Can you help me with the housework?
- Can you help me with cooking?
- Can you help me find my keys?
Could you…? is even more polite.
- Could you help me find my keys?
