The simple future tense is used to make simple predictions about the future.
Form: Subject + will + base form of the verb.
I will take a vacation at the end of this month.
She will turn 18 next month.
We will leave in the evening.
I will leave at six.
She will probably recognize me.
He will help us.
It will rain later in the evening.
They will throw you out.
He will get a raise next month.
Our team will win the match.
She will win the first prize.
It will rain at night.
The simple future tense is also used to show our reactions to what somebody has said or done.
‘I’m thirsty.’ ‘I’ll get you something to drink.’
‘I’m starved.’ ‘OK. I’ll make you a sandwich.’
‘It’s very cold.’ ‘OK. I’ll take my coat.’
‘It’s raining.’ ‘I’ll take my umbrella.’
‘There’s the doorbell.’ ‘I’ll go.’
‘I’m broke.’ ‘Don’t worry. I’ll lend you some money.’
‘My pen doesn’t write.’ ‘No problem. I’ll lend you mine.’
‘I’m not feeling very well.’ ‘I’ll call the doctor.’
